Operation (Raiding) Plans

Postby AJH » Tue Dec 27, 2011 5:36 am

While none of this is set in stone, I wanted to lay out the early plan for operations. As we get sufficient players reaching max level, I will start looking for individuals who are interested in participating in end game PVE operations. After getting a list of interested individuals, a primary team of 8 will be put together to begin runs based on skill. Those remaining on the list that were interested but unable to be put on the initial team will be on standby if someone is unable to make it from the primary team. As the primary team begins to successfully progress, when it seems that the gear is sufficient, we will break in to two teams and bring in the next 8 highest people to form two 8 man teams. After these two 8 man teams are sufficiently geared, we will begin 16 man runs.

Since 16 man runs are on a seperate lockout from 8 man runs, once 16 man runs are beginning to progress, 8 man runs will be opened up to rotate in any players meeting the minimum neccessary skill and gear levels. The number of 8 man teams will depend on available operations leaders and level of interest. It is also possible that there will be more than one 8 man team starting out if there is enough interest, however, priority will be given to making sure that we have the best chance to progress with the primary team. (This really works out best for everyone in the long run as a better geared player base allows much more successful runs as play becomes more casual in later runs.)

This is by no means final and is very subject to change based on the level of interest and needs of the guild, but I wanted to get a general idea of what I think it might look like out there for people to think about and give feedback on. Please feel free to discuss this more in the guild member forums. Ideas for improving the approach are welcome.
